Gondar,
Ethiopia – On 27th May 2025, Gondar University’s Maraki Campus will host the
National Tourism Conference at the Sciences Amba Hall. This event, organized by
the University of Gondar (UoG) and the Tourism Training Institute (TTI), will
focus on the theme “Enhancing Sustainable Tourism through Innovation in Tourism
Recovery and Crisis Management.”
As part of
the conference's opening ceremony, Dr. Asrat Atsedewoyne, President of the
University of Gondar, will deliver a welcome speech. Dr. Atsedewoyne will
highlight the university's 70-year legacy of excellence and its significant
contributions to the tourism sector, particularly through its dedicated tourism
department. The conference will also underscore the historical importance of
Gondar as a key driver of Ethiopian tourism.
The
Ethiopian Tour Operator Association (ETOA) will be represented by board member
Mr. Yared Mulugeta, who will discuss the collaborative efforts necessary for
advancing sustainable tourism in Ethiopia.
