ETOA and Ministry of Tourism Deepen Strategic Partnership to Advance Ethiopia's Tourism Agenda

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Ethiopian Tour Operators Association (ETOA) held a high-level strategic consultative meeting with the State Minister of Tourism, Dr. Endegena Abebe, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening collaboration and accelerating the sustainable growth of Ethiopia's tourism sector.


The meeting focused on key national tourism priorities, including Ethiopia's engagement with UN Tourism, the operationalization of the National Tourism Council, preparations for COP32, the proposed National Tourism Center, and coordinated destination marketing initiatives and participation in leading international tourism trade fairs.

Recognizing the evolving challenges and opportunities facing the industry, both parties also discussed strengthening tourism crisis management and resilience, while emphasizing the effective implementation of existing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with public and private sector partners to deliver tangible results.

The discussions concluded with a strong commitment to deepen institutional cooperation, enhance Ethiopia's global tourism competitiveness, and promote the country as a premier travel destination through coordinated action and strategic partnerships.

ETOA expressed its sincere appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Tourism for its continued support and constructive engagement, reaffirming the Association's commitment to working closely with the Ministry and all tourism stakeholders to build a more resilient, competitive, and sustainable tourism industry for Ethiopia.
