Addis Ababa, 4 November 2025 — The Ethiopian Tour Operators Association (ETOA) convened its 30th General Assembly at Capital Hotel and Spa in Addis Ababa, bringing members together to review the year’s performance, strengthen governance, and elect a new board for the next two-year term.

The meeting opened with a welcome address by the ETOA President, followed by the General Secretary’s presentation of the day’s agenda. Members heard the annual audit report, with the auditor delivering comments and recommendations aimed at enhancing transparency, financial controls, and organizational efficiency.

The association’s annual report highlighted key achievements over the past year, including market development initiatives, member capacity-building efforts, and enhanced collaboration with public and private stakeholders. Members also openly discussed challenges affecting the sector and the association’s operations, agreeing on practical steps to rectify difficulties and improve service delivery, advocacy, and member support.

A robust question-and-answer session allowed members to raise concerns and receive responses from the leadership, underscoring ETOA’s commitment to accountability and participatory governance.

With the previous board completing its two-year term, the assembly proceeded to elections. Members elected a new seven-member board to serve for the coming two years, including four new faces, reflecting a balance of continuity and renewal. The full list of board members will be communicated to stakeholders and the public through ETOA’s official channels.

The event concluded with a dinner and folkloric dance program hosted by Capital Hotel and Spa, in partnership with key industry allies including Ethiopian Airlines (ET Holidays) and NIB Bank, offering members a valuable networking opportunity and celebrating the shared commitment to advancing Ethiopia’s tourism sector.
