The Ethiopian Tour Operators Association (ETOA) was an active participant in a highly successful B2B tourism event in China, collaborating with the Ethiopian Embassy and Ethiopian Airlines. The primary focus of this event was to spotlight Ethiopia as a remarkable travel destination for Chinese tour operators.

This exclusive event, jointly organized by the Ethiopian Embassy in China and ETOA, featured an engaging speech by H.E. Ambassador Tefera Deribew, where he eloquently highlighted Ethiopia's rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and largely untapped opportunities awaiting visitors. The moderation and introduction were skillfully handled by Ambassador Dawano Kedir, Deputy Head of Mission at the Ethiopian Embassy, and Ms. Xianli Audrey, Ethiopian Airlines China Marketing Manager.

Mr. Fitsum Gezahegne, President of ETOA, shared a comprehensive overview of Ethiopia's vibrant tourism industry and the exceptional professionalism of the nation's tour operators. He emphasized ETOA's dedication to curating exceptional travel experiences immersed in authentic local cultures.

Notably, representatives from prominent Ethiopian tour companies interacted directly with Chinese operators, fostering valuable business connections. The conversations revolved around potential partnership prospects, customized tour packages, and strategies to meet the growing interests of Chinese travelers.

Ethiopian Airlines, as the national carrier of Ethiopia, plays a pivotal role in facilitating travel between the two countries. Their extensive flight network and top-notch service ensure seamless connectivity for Chinese tourists visiting Ethiopia.

This B2B event acted as a significant platform for fortifying tourism connections between Ethiopia and China. Consequently, both nations anticipate a substantial growth in cultural exchange and economic development, driven by increased travel and exploration.

ETOA extends its sincere appreciation to the Ethiopian Embassy in China, Ethiopian Airlines, and all participants for their unwavering contributions to promoting Ethiopia as an extraordinary travel destination within the Chinese market.
