Invitation to Participate in TICAD-9 Business Expo – Yokohama, Japan

Dear Members,

The Ethiopian Tour Operators Association (ETOA) is pleased to inform you that, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Embassy in Japan, we have received an official invitation to participate in the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-9).

📅 Date: August 20–22, 2025

📍 Location: Yokohama, Japan

Alongside the TICAD-9 Leaders’ Assembly, a TICAD Business Expo Conference will take place, featuring the participation of 150 Japanese companies. This event presents an excellent opportunity for members who are interested in exploring the Asian tourism market to:

•  Promote Ethiopia’s tourism sector to Japanese and broader Asian audiences

•  Network with leading Japanese companies and international stakeholders

•  Explore potential partnerships and business opportunities

We encourage  members with a focus on the Asian market to take part in this important event and showcase Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage, natural attractions, and unique travel experiences.

Registration Deadline: Please register no later than 2:30 PM (local time 8:30 PM) today. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: The participation costs will be communicated once we receive confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism.

For registration and further details, please contact the ETOA Secretariat at +251 952 61 40 00.

Let’s join together to represent Ethiopia on this prestigious international platform!
