The Ethiopian Tour Operators
Association (ETOA) recently held a public celebration to mark its affiliate
membership with UN Tourism. The event was highlighted by several key
announcements and recognitions.
In a move to refresh its image, ETOA
unveiled a rebranded marketing logo and launched a new website. These updates
are expected to enhance the association's visibility and effectiveness in
promoting Ethiopian tourism.
A highlight of the celebration was
the recognition of seven distinguished tourism pioneers in Ethiopia. These
individuals were honored for their significant contributions to the country's
tourism industry. Additionally, a special award was presented to an office
staff member who demonstrated exceptional commitment to their work.

Gezahagne, spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of these pioneers.
"The tourism pioneers awarded today are our teachers and best examples to
persist in the tourism industry during bad times," he stated, underlining
their role in inspiring resilience within the sector.
The celebration was graced by the
presence of H.E. Ato Seleshi Girma, State Minister of Tourism, who served as
the guest of honor. He congratulated ETOA on its UN Tourism affiliate
membership and praised the association's decision to honor the tourism pioneers.
"Their contribution to Ethiopian Tourism is invaluable," the state
minister remarked, highlighting the significance of their work in shaping the
country's tourism landscape.
